Gareth Roberts , 65, worked as a nurse on the Cardiff and Vale health board area for More Than 40 Years .
The Husband , father and grandfather died in hospital in Merthyr Tydfil in the Early Hours of Saturday Morning .
His friend said, he had little to no protection against The Virus , the health Board said that to investigate it would.
"He had no PPE. At the beginning, He Said , he had nothing," said a friend from his childhood Janette Leonard.
"He had a paper mask, plastic gloves and an apron, that is fine, if you are making sandwiches, but not if you are going to nurse people with the Disease . "
Mr Roberts' wife, Linda, and was told to visit on his bed in the early morning hours of Saturday, as it was clear that he would pass awayMr. Roberts had devoted his life to caring for people, working as a nurse since the 1980s and comes out of retirement in January 2015.

But he was sick, even with Covid-19, and gradually his condition deteriorated.
On the weekend, His Family were called to his bed at the Prince Charles Hospital, and Ms Leonard, his wife was with him when he died.
"For Gareth , he paid the highest price," said Ms. Leonard.
"We Are angry. Why would a soldier send to The Front without a battle suit? It is Unthinkable . "
Jeanette Leonard, a friend of Mr Roberts, since childhood, says his sense of Humor would "make you weak,"Mr Roberts loved his job, but he was also a man for Linda, the father of Ceri and Dean, and a grandfather of 16-year-old Zac, who brought he and Linda had, until after their son, Dean, Passed Away 11 years ago.

"He would come up with things and you would be weak," She Said .
"Cariad [Welsh for love] was his favorite word. The Nursing Sister had said in the village to me, you'll miss him, saying, 'come on cariad, we can do this together'.
"That's how he was - a real, genuine, lovely guy. "
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB) has said it would investigate the claims about the lack of PPE.
Gareth Roberts has devoted 40 Years of his life caring for people as a nurseRuth Walker, the health board executive, said nurse Director at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, said: "We Are aware of the concerns of some employees in the media in relation to the availability and accessibility of PPE.
"As a result of the conclusions, we have a more detailed insight in the availability of PSA to UHL, and we regularly review our systems to ensure that we get stock in The Right place at The Right time.
"As a health board, we have enough PPE equipment is available and in stock, providing The Right level of PSA in The Right circumstances, The National guidelines, as well as The High standards we have set for ourselves.
"If a colleague has not found that this is not the case, and you have determined that either a defect or a perceived defect we would encourage you to raise it immediately. "
The Welsh Government said it was working hard to ensure that all front-line NHS and social care, the employees had the protection and support they needed to undertake their roles
