Fluoranthene

Fluoranthene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon. The molecule can be viewed as the fusion of naphthalene and benzene unit connected by a five-membered ring. Although samples are often pale yellow, the compound is colorless. It is soluble in nonpolar organic solvents.
