F. Scott (Richard Chamberlain) and Zelda Fitzgerald (Blythe Danner) return from Europe emotionally and financially depleted. Despite being 30, Zelda develops a fixation on becoming a ballerina, while Scott, bereft of ideas, drinks and carouses.
