`Extreme Food' follows Kenyan restaurateur Kiran Jethwa as he he goes to extreme lengths to find the world's finest ingredients at their source. In Bolivia, Jethwa discovers the controversial coca leaf, which is often used in tea and cooking in the area. Using the ingredient the chef marinates a loin of llama and makes dumplings from the leaf itself.
