About Etymologiae
Etymologiae, also known as the Origines and usually abbreviated Orig. , is an etymological encyclopedia compiled by Isidore of Seville towards the end of his life. Isidore was encouraged to write the book by his friend Braulio, Bishop of Saragossa.
