Ernest Smith Life story
Ernest Alvia "Smokey" Smith VC, CM, OBC, CD was a Canadian recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was the last living Canadian recipient of the Victoria Cross.
