Emile Godchaux

Emile Godchaux was a French academic painter whose subjects consisted of maritime seascapes, floral still lifes, and rural landscapes. Godchaux's work has often been found among the ledgers of art dealers in Bordeaux around the turn of the 20th century, presumably due to his affinity for playing the national lottery.
