Ellen La Zouche Life story
Ellen la Zouche, eldest daughter and co-heiress of Alan la Zouche, Knt., and Eleanor de Segrave, was born about 1288 (aged 26 in 1314). About 1313/4, Ellen inherited from her father the manors of Black Torrington, King's Nympton and North Molton in Devon and half of the manor of Great Gaddesden in Hertfordshire.
