Elizabeth Pilfold Life story
Elizabeth Pilfold was born in 1763 of a prosperous land-owning family of Effingham, Sussex. Reputed to be a great beauty, she married Timothy Shelley in October, 1791, and gave birth to her first-born, Percy Bysshe, the following August.
