Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron Life story
Eliyahu Bakshi-Doron is an Israeli rabbi who served as Rishon LeZion from 1993 to 2003. While known for his promotion of interfaith dialogue and nonviolence, Bakshi-Doron has been criticised by Haredi leaders for his halakhic decisions, and by the Reform Movement for his position on assimilation.
