Edward Burtynsky Life story
Edward Burtynsky OC RCA is a Canadian photographer and artist known for his large format photographs of industrial landscapes. His works depict locations from around the world that represent the increasing development of industrialization and its impacts on nature and the human existence.

Edward Burtynsky travels The World and tries to impression images of the impact of humanity on The Planet , from the fossil-like forms, drills in a potash mine, the bright colors of the lithium ponds.
The Canadian photo artist spent 40 Years with a focus on large-scale human activities such as mining, quarrying, agriculture, and deforestation - But he says he does not see himself as an environmentalist.
His latest project, "Anthropocene", is a collaboration with filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier, exploring the suggestion of some scientists that a geological epoch, marked started by human activity.
It includes a touring exhibition, a book and documentary, feature-length film, premiered last year in Canada, and going to the cinema release in the USA next week.
