Duarte Fernandes

Duarte Fernandes was a Portuguese diplomat, explorer, and was the first European to establish diplomatic relations with Thailand, when in 1511 he led a diplomatic mission to Ayutthaya Kingdom, after the Portuguese conquest of Malacca.
