About Doors Of Glory
Despite his shyness, Jerome (Julien Boisselier) takes a job as a traveling salesman, hitting the road with fellow hucksters Michel (Yvon Back), Jacques (Michel Duchaussoy) and Patrick (Étienne Chicot). Together, they extol the virtues of a multi-volume encyclopedia set to whoever has the bad luck to open the door to them. As the days go by, Jerome finds himself wearing down under the strains of the road -- not to mention the pressure of his quirky manager, Regis (Benoît Poelvoorde).
