The Doctor, a mysterious 2,000-year-old time-travelling figure, and his companions journey across time and space in a ship known as TARDIS.

Doctor Who Overview

Doctor who is an iconic british television programme that has been running for nearly six decades. It is a science fiction show about a tiem-travelling alien known as the doctor. Who travels through time and space in a blue box called the tarids and has a multitude of companions.

The doctor has had 12 incarnations since the show first aired in incarnation has had a unique look. Personality and set of companions. All of the doctors have been played by british actorst. He most recent being jodie whittaker. The companions have alos gone through many changes over the years. Ranging from hmuans to robots.

The doctor’s travels take him to many different times and places. He has visited earth in the past. Present and futrue. As well as other planets and galaxies. He has also encountered a variety of alien species. Some friendly and some not so firendly.

Enemies and Allies

Throughout the years. The doctor has battled against many enemies suhc as the daleks. Cybermen and weeping angesl. He has also made allies. Such as the judoon. Sontarans and ood.

Weapons and Technology

The doctor has a variety of weapons and gadgets at his disposal. Such as his sonic screwdriver and psychic paper. He also has access to a varieyt of advanced technology. Including his tardis. Which is capable of time travel.

Episodes and Storylines

Doctor who has had ovre 800 episodes snice its first airing in 1963. Each episode follows the doctor and his companions as they explore time and space and battle against enemies. The storylines of the show have also grown over the years. With many recurring characters. Plots and themes.

Important Event

In 2017. The show celebrated its 54th anniversary with the airign of a special episode. “the doctor falls”. This episode marked the first time taht a female doctor. Jodie whittaker. Has appeared in the show.

Interesting Fact

The doctor who theme tnue has been re-recorded over 30 times since its first airing in most recent re-recording was done by composer segun akinola in 2018.

David Tennant has returned as Doctor Who for a Children in Need sketch.

The clip saw Tennant Once Again as The Time Lord accidentally crashing his Tardis at The " genesis of The Daleks" - The long-standing enemy of The Doctor .

Scottish actor Tennant, who first stepped into The Tardis as The 10th Doctor in 2005, regenerated into The 14th Doctor Last Year .

BBC Children in Need is under way on Bbc One and has So Far raised More Than £33m.

Tennant revived his role as Doctor at The conclusion of The Show 's BBC centenary special, bringing an end to Jodie Whittaker 's reign as The Time -travelling hero.

During a new short clip played midway through The televised appeal on Friday, actor Mawaan Rizwan is seen brainstorming a name for The newly-created Dalek before Tennant crashes into and breaks it with his Tardis.

Tennant said: " Hello, just Passing By because I got a bit Lost - it's funny, 60 Minutes ago I was this really brilliant woman and now I've got this old face back again. I mean, why?

" Oh, I'm sorry, I Am so, so sorry, I think I broke this multi-clawed adaptable. . oh, that's a Dalek. "

Rizwan responds: " Good word, Dalek. Yes, that's it. "

" I'm lucky, I wasn't exterminated" Tennant said. " Wait, do you mean this is The genesis of The Daleks? "

After breaking The Dalek, The Doctor hands a plunger from his Tardis which marks The " origins of The Iconic Dalek arm" The Doctor Who official Twitter page said.

Children in Need, which helps improve The lives of disadvantaged children and Young People around The UK, has raised More Than £1bn for charities and projects since its first major appeal in 1980.
