Dimitry Markevitch Life story
Dimitry Markevitch was a Ukrainian concert cellist, researcher, teacher, and musicologist. He studied under Gregor Piatigorsky and founded the Institut de Hautes Etudes Musicales in Switzerland. His brother, Igor Markevitch, was an orchestral conductor.
