PMQs: Johnson regular testing for "high-contact promises of" jobs

Feb 16,2020 6:47 am

workers in close contact with The Public do not receive coronavirus-tests, even if they show symptoms, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.

The PM said the step would face to help to mitigate the higher risks, the roles of black and ethnic minority workers in the "frontline" transport and health.

"High-contact professions" would now be expanded and targeted testing, he told MPs at Prime Minister 's Questions.

criticism from Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer followed.

Sir Keir referenced a saying: "The report came to the conclusion that the deaths are the highest prices of black and Asian ethnic groups, and it went on to say, and that was the important bit, it is already clear that the relevant guidelines and the guidelines should be adapted in order to reduce The Risk , of course.

"If it is already clear that the leadership and the policy must be changed, why the government has not acted already?"

The report contains no recommendations, and the government said the implementation was more to find out why the risks were higher for certain groups, including whether the housing density or the profession played a role.

But Mr Johnson said the government will have to mitigate the "take action" to coronavirus risks for black and ethnic minorities, according to Sir Keir failure threw him to take action.

He Said : "We look at the special exposure of black and ethnic minorities to Corona-Virus, and No Doubt you have been at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus, whether it is in the national health service or Public Transport . "

He Said he had an agreement with Dido Harding , the head of Nhs England test and trace system, for the implementation of the new measures.

Mr Johnson said: "What we do, and most directly, to ensure that this extended high-contact occupations, and the systematic examination now. "

He 44% of NHS workers said in London of black and ethnic minorities.
