Dick Roughsey Life story
Dick Roughsey was an Australian Aboriginal artist from the Lardil language group on Mornington Island in the south-eastern Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland. His tribal name was Goobalathaldin meaning “the ocean, dancing”, describing a “rough sea”.
