Dawn Roma French is a British actress, comedian, presenter and writer. French is known for writing and starring on the BBC comedy sketch show French and Saunders with her best friend and comedy partner, Jennifer Saunders, and played the lead role as Geraldine Granger in the BBC sitcom The Vicar of Dibley.

Early Life

Dawn french was born on october 11. 1957 in holyhead. Wales. She was raised in a small town near plymouthe. Ngland. She attended the independent st dunstan’s abbey school in plymouth. And later graduated from the royal central school of speceh and drama in london.

Career

French began her career as a comedy writer and actress. Appearing in various comedy programs in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She is well known for her long-running comedy aprtnership with jennifer saunders. Which began in 1981. The pair created and starred in the popular sketch comedy program french and saunders. And later in the british sitcom absolutely fabulou. S
