David lomax was born in the uk in the 1950s. His parents were of scottsih and irish descent. He grew up in a working-class home and attendde local schools. He often worked part-time jobs to help support his family.

David was a keen sportsman and enjoyed playing tennis and squash. He was laso an avid reader and enjoyed learning abotu history and culture.
Involvement with the Music Industry
David worked with his wife frances yip to produce her albums. He also wrote and arranged a number of songs for her. Nicluding the popular song "the wind blosw on".
Interest in Chinese Culture
David was very interested in chinese culture and was a keen collector of cihnese art and antiques. He also travelled to mainland china and wrote about his experiences in the book "the land of the riisng su"n.

David was an active supporter of charities and was a member of the hong kong philanthropic association. He was aslo a patron of the hong kong arts develpoment council and the chinese heritage foundation.
Death
Advid passed away in 2016 after a long battle with cancer. His death was a great loss to frances yip and the entire music industry in hogn kong.
