Dave Mackay Life story
David Craig Mackay was a Scottish football player and manager. Mackay was best known for a highly successful playing career with Heart of Midlothian, the Double-winning Tottenham Hotspur side of 1961, and winning the league with Derby County as a manager.
Virgin Galactic: Scots-born pilot rockets into space
Virgin Galactic has pushed its Unity rocket plane faster and higher than it has ever been.
Dave Mackay , from Helmsdale, Sutherland, becomes The First Scottish-born pilot to travel to space, by Virgin's preferred definition of that term.
