Daniel Rye Life story
Daniel Rye is a Danish freelance photojournalist. In 2013 he was kidnapped by the Islamic state while reporting on the refugee crisis in Northern Syria and held hostage for 398 days. Once he was released in the summer of 2014 he returned to his profession as a photographer straight away.
