Colonel Amirouche Life story
Amirouche Aït Hamouda, commonly called Colonel Amirouche, was a leader in the Algerian War, organizing the irregular military of the Wilaya III. He is considered a national hero in Algeria. He was killed during combat against French troops on 29 March 1959.
