Claire Motte Life story
Claire Motte, ballet mistress of the Paris Opera Ballet and formerly one of the French company's leading ballerinas, died Wednesday in Paris after a long illness. She was 48 years old. Miss Motte, a very strong technician with a dramatic style, held the rank of ''etoile,'' or star, from 1960 through 1979.
