About Chisinau
Chișinău is the capital of Eastern Europe's Republic of Moldova. Amid blocks of Soviet-style architecture are landmarks including the neoclassical Nativity Cathedral. The dome-topped church anchors Chișinău's Cathedral Park, a plaza with a Triumphal Arch celebrating Russia's 19th-century victory over the Ottoman Empire.
