Cheoljong Of Joseon Life story
Cheoljong of Joseon was the 25th king of the Joseon, reigning from 1849 to 1864. After Heonjong of Joseon died without a male heir in 1849, Queen Sunwon chose Cheoljong, aged 19, to be the next king, as the heir to late Sunjo of Joseon. Cheoljong was a great-great-grandson of Yeongjo of Joseon.
