Charles Manners Gascoyne Life story
Major Charles Manners Gascoyne (1806-1872) was the son of John Gascoyne & his wife Charlotte Sarah née de Coetlogon. He gained the rank of Major with the 5th Bengal Light Cavalry (HEIC) before he retired from Her Majesty's Indian Army. He migrated with his family in 1853 from India to New Zealand via Australia.
