Charles Edward Troup Life story
Sir Charles Edward Troup KCB KCVO was a British civil servant. Born in Scotland, he worked for most of his life in London. He was Permanent Secretary at the Home Office from 1908 to 1922. Troup was born in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. His father was a minister of an Independent church.
