Almost 500 Years ago, a large African man in Japan arrived. He would go on to reach The First foreign-born People to the status of a samurai warrior, and is the subject of two films produced by Hollywood.

Known as Yasuke , The Man was a warrior who reached the rank of samurai under the rule of Oda Nobunaga to be in a strong 16Th Century Japanese feudal Lord, was The First of the three unifiers of Japan.

In 1579, his arrival in Kyoto, the capital at the time, caused such a sensation, that the People climbed over each other to have a look at him with a creature to death, squashed, according to historian Lawrence Winkler.

Within a year, Yasuke was with the upper echelons of the Japanese warrior class, The Samurai . Long before he spoke fluent Japanese, and moves next to Nobunaga in the battle.

"It would have been impossible to climb for Yasuke to the rank of a samurai in just one year without a warrior background," Ms DeSnoo says.

French-Ivorian writer Serge Bile was so fascinated by Yasuke the extraordinary rise of that he wrote a book about the warriors.

"It's a part of The Mystery around this character. This is why he fascinates me," he told the BBC.

The African warrior and the Japanese war Lord had a lot in common.

Nobunaga was a big fan of the Martial Arts and spent a lot of time, practice. He was also an eccentric person, which, according to Mr Webb, often dressed in Western-style clothes and sought The Company of very disciplined and intelligent People .

Entertainment-industry newspaper Variety reported in may that the Black Panther actor Chadwick play Boseman Yasuke in one of the next feature film.

It is the second Hollywood film, on The Life of Yasuke .

In 2017, the Hollywood-studio Lionsgate has announced that the development was a film about The Life of The Black samurai.
