Originally, Centavrvs was built around the 100-year anniversary of the Mexican Revolution – the civil war that toppled Porfirio Díaz's dictatorship and established modern-day Mexico, giving us folk heroes like Emiliano Zapata and Francisco Villa – by recontextualizing corridos with electronic elements.
