Cecilia Bartolomé is one of the pioneering women of Spanish cinema." Cecilia Bartolomé was born in Alicante in 1943, and raised on the island of Fernando Poo in the former Spanish colony of Equatorial Guinea. In the 1960s, she abandoned her studies in economics to join the Official School of Cinematography in Madrid.
