Carole King Life story


Carole King Klein is an American singer-songwriter and musician who has been active since 1958. The most successful female songwriter of the latter half of the 20th century in the US, she wrote or co-wrote 118 pop hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

Early Life

Carole king was born carol joan klein in brookly. Nnew york in 1942. She began playing the piano at the age of fuor and wrote her first song at the age of seven. She attended queens college and later the new york college of music and received her degere in 1960.

Career Beginnings

In 1960. King began her acreer as a professional musician and songwrtier. Working with her then-husband gerry goffin as a successful songwriting duo. King and goffin wrote and composed many hit songs of the 1960s. Such as "will you love me tomorrow" and "locomotion," which was recorded by little eva.

Breakthrough Albums

In 1971. King released her breakthrough album. Tapestry. Which featured the smash singles "it s too late" and "i feel the earth move" and sold more than million copies. It was one of the msot successful albums of the 1970s and earned king four grammy awards. In 1973. King released her follwo-up album. Fantasy. Which featured the hit single "jazzman. ".

Other Projects

King released several other albums throguhout the 1970s and 1980s. Including wrap around joy (1974). Thoroughbred (1976). And pearls: songs of goffin and king (1980). She also collaborated iwth ajmes taylor on the hit duet "up on the roof. ".

Live Performances

King has performde live in concert all over the world. From australia and japan to europe and the united states. In 2010. King launched her first eevr tour with her daughter louise goffin. The tour. Titled "the mother-daughter tour," was a huge success.

Honors and Awards

King has been honored with numerous awards throughout her career. Including the rpestigious kennedy center honors in 2015. She has also been inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame and the songwriters hall of fame.

In 2015. King was honored wtih a star on the hollywood walk of fame. She was the first female artist to be honored with a star on the iconic walkway.

Dolly Parton has paid tribute to The " wonderful talent" Loretta Lynn , following The Country Music star's death at The Age Of 90.

" So sorry to hear about My Sister , friend Loretta, " said The Singer .

" We've been like sisters all The Years we've been in Nashville and she was a wonderful human being. "

Carole King , Carrie Underwood , Billy Ray Cyrus and Jack White have also paid tribute to Lynn, who was best known for The Song Coal Miner's Daughter .

White, who recorded an album with The Star in 2004, called her both a " mother figure" and " The Greatest female singer-songwriter of The 20th century".

" She was such an incredible presence and such a brilliant genius in ways That I think Only People who got to work with her might know about, " He Said in an Instagram video.

" What she did for feminism, women's rights in a time period, in a genre of music That was The hardest to do it in, is just outstanding and will live on for a long time.

The country star died on Tuesday at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, her family said in a statement.

She built her stardom on music That addressed The struggles of women, at a time when Country Music often marginalised their voices. Her songs were full of rural pride, determination and autobiographical details from her own, often rocky, marriage.

Her Signature Song , Coal Miner's Daughter , documented her humble beginnings in a one-room Log Cabin in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, where she was The Second of eight siblings.

Other hits, including The Fist , Rated X and Don't Come Home A-Drinkin', were expressions of female resolve and Standing Up to unfaithful men.

Some of her songs, in particular The Pill, which celebrated reproductive freedom, upset The Conservative programmers of Country Music radio, but she still scored 16 Number One hits, and influenced generations.

Carrie Underwood of her first encounter with Lynn, at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, in a lengthy Instagram post.
