About Carlhubbsia
Carlhubbsia is a genus of poeciliids native to Guatemala and Mexico. The name of this genus honours the American ichthyologist Carl Leavitt Hubbs who originally named the genus Allophallus, a name which was preoccupied by a genus of Diptera.
