Canyon Cinema

Canyon Cinema began in a Canyon, California backyard with films projected onto an army surplus screen from the kitchen window, as a community-oriented, informal exhibition venue for non-theatrical films by neighbors, in 1960. It later spun-off San Francisco Cinematheque. in 1975.
