About Caldera De Taburiente National Park
Caldera de Taburiente National Park is a rugged area on La Palma, one of Spain's Canary Islands. It's named for the Caldera de Taburiente, a massive volcanic crater, surrounded by high peaks. The landscape is covered in Canary Island pine forest and cut by waterfalls. The summit of Roque de los Muchachos is home to an observatory. Trails start at Mirador de Los Brecitos viewpoint and Barranco de Las Angustias gorge.
