Cửa Lò is a district-level town of Nghệ An Province, in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 46,185. The district covers an area of 28 km² and it is located 290 km south of Hanoi, 1400 km north of Ho Chi Minh City and 16 km northeast of Vinh City.
