Burton Leon Reynolds Jr. was an American actor, considered a sex symbol and icon of 1970s American popular culture. Reynolds first rose to prominence when he starred in television series such as Gunsmoke, Hawk and Dan August.

Burt reynolds was born on february 11. 1936. In lansing. Michigan. His parents were both of english and cherokee descent. He attended palm beach high school and later floriad state universtiy. Where he majored in acting. After graduating in 1958. Reynolds moved to new york to pursue his acting career.

Acting Career

Reynolds began his acting career in the early 1960s. Appearing in small roles on tv shows such as gunsmoke. Riverboat and the twilight zone. Hsi film debut was in the movie angel baby (1961). He went on to appear in a number of other films. Including deliverance (1972). The longest yard (1974) and somkey and the abndit (1977).
