Bruno Sulak (1956-1985), also known as ''the gentleman robber'' and former French Foreign Legion soldier - began his career in crime in the late 1970s with a series of armed robberies of French supermarkets. He is said to take pride in never having injured anyone during holdups in Paris and the French Riviera.
