Brenda Fisher Life story
Brenda Fisher, is an English long-distance swimmer. In 1951 she broke the women's world record for swimming the English Channel. Fisher was born and raised in Scartho, North East Lincolnshire, the daughter of a Grimsby trawler skipper, learned to swim at the age of 9, and initially became a speed swimmer.
