Breaking The Faith

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has an estimated 10,000 followers, yet it remains one of the most secretive and controversial sects in the U. S. The reality-documentary "Breaking the Faith" attempts to do what, according to TLC, no series has before -- fully explore the experiences of individuals who are no longer FLDS members. The hourlong episodes follow eight young men and women who have left the church -- by choice or force -- and are trying to build a new future. They describe daily life in the FLDS and what it took to break away from a setting in which every decision was made for them.
