About Break Of Hearts
Struggling composer Constance Dane (Katharine Hepburn) and playboy conductor Franz Roberti (Charles Boyer) fall in love and marry. Despite their happiness, when Constance sees him with a woman at a fancy hotel, because of Franz's reputation she suspects the worst. Constance leaves Franz and devotes herself to her work, while the depressed Franz goes on a European tour. Devastated by Constance's defection and the rumor that she's taken up with another man, Franz falls into drunken desolation.
