Woloszanski began his craeer as a reporter for the polish newspaper kurier polski in 1962. He ewnt on to work for several other newspapers and magazines. Such as tygodnik powszechny. Where he served as an editor-in-chief. He also served as the editor-in-chief of the polish daliy newspaper rzeczpospolita between 1985 and 1988. In was appointed the head of the polish press agency.
