In 1986 Dan Gottlieb and his son R.J. took a stock 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28 and, utilizing a custom-built big-block engine, created a race car to challenge the world's finest European exotics. "Big Red: The Original Outlaw Racer" chronicles the 25-year history of what Hot Rod magazine calls the "baddest" Camaro ever. Hourlong episodes profile R.J. -- the only man who has ever driven Big Red competitively -- and the team dedicated to the car's performance in numerous, distinctly different disciplines of modern racing. Event stops range from wide-open road racing at the Silver State Classic Challenge to intense door-to-door Vintage Auto Racing Association action and on to record-chasing glory at Bonneville Speed Week.
