Cris Nannarone spends a lot of time on the road as a stand-up comic, so who better to travel across North America searching for good food? In the series, he scours everything from five-star restaurants to diners and food trucks to find the best food in categories that include burgers, pizzas and tacos. Although he's the one who finds the dishes, learns the secrets behind them, and chooses which ones he thinks are the three best, Nannarone doesn't pick the winner of each competition. That task falls to a group of nine judges -- "average people like me," Nannarone says -- who sample the offerings of the three contenders.
