About Benešov
Benešov, also known as Benešov u Prahy is a town in the Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic, about 40 kilometres southeast of Prague, the biggest town and former capital of the Benešov District. The Konopiště castle and the Czech national mountain Blaník are near the town. In 2019, the population was over 16,600.
