Belmonte Mezzagno is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Palermo in the Italian region Sicily, located about 8 kilometres south of Palermo. Belmonte Mezzagno was founded in 1752, when Prince Giuseppe Emanuele Ventimiglia asked and obtained the "Licentia Populandi" from King Charles III.
