Bedale, locally pronounced the same as ‘beadle’, is a market town and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, it is 34 miles north of Leeds, 26 miles south-west of Middlesbrough and 7 miles south-west of the county town of Northallerton.
