About Baryphracta
Baryphracta is an extinct genus of diplocynodontine crocodilian. It is closely related to the genera Diplocynodon and Tadzhikosuchus. Fossils have been found from the Messel Pit near Messel, Germany, which was deposited during the Middle Eocene epoch of the Paleogene period.
