Barbara Neely Life story
Barbara Ann Neely was an African-American novelist, short story writer and activist who wrote murder mysteries. Her first novel, Blanche on the Lam, introduced the protagonist Blanche White, a middle-aged mother, domestic worker and amateur detective.
