Across Eastern Europe - from Belarus to The Balkans - People fleeing conflict and poverty are trying to seek asylum in the EU.

Akram and Zahra from Afghanistan want to cross the Bosnian border into the EU with their two-year-old daughter.

They say their next attempt to get from Bosnia into Croatia will be their 40th. BBC correspondent Fergal Keane was with them them as they set out from a makeshift camp.
