About Bahmanyār
Abul-Ḥasan Bahmanyār ibn Marzubān Salari 'Ajamī Aḍarbāyijānī, known as Bahmanyār lived during the Sallarid Dynasty and was a famous pupil of Avicenna. He was of Persian Zoroastrian background, though he later converted to Islam. His knowledge of Arabic was not perfect.
